Maintenance tips
During your daily travels, your jewelry comes into contact with a lot of objects that will inevitably mark it. These marks tarnish the original shine, giving a patinated appearance to the jewel. While some appreciate this characteristic, others prefer to keep a shiny jewel .
Here are some tips to keep your jewelry looking shiny:
1. Avoid water, cosmetics and household products
Did you know that stones can tarnish due to the use of creams, shampoos and other products? Concretely, deposits can form over time and will come to veil the cylinder head of the stone and thus prevent the light from perfectly reflecting on the crystal. The stone will therefore have a slightly milky appearance. Removing your rings before washing your hands, showering or doing the dishes is therefore a simple and effective reflex to keep your jewel looking beautiful!
2. Take off your jewelry before certain activities
Beyond the fine scratches on the metal which are signs of a busy life, you have to be careful not to deform its structure. Be aware that repairing a mount can be expensive and laborious. It is technical and meticulous work, which in some cases requires completely redoing the jewel.
We therefore recommend that you remove your jewelry during activities that could deform your jewelry, such as gardening or certain sports (climbing, racket sports, volleyball, etc.).
3. Remember to store your jewelry properly
We recommend that you store your jewelry in its case , a pouch or in a jewelry box each time you take it out. Your jewelry will be preciously preserved.
Remember, however, not to put several jewels in the same pocket in order to avoid friction between them and thus avoid the risk of scratches.
